Neighbourhood Alert may change any part of this Privacy Notice ("Notice") at any time. Changes will be effective when the changed Notice is posted on this web site ("Site"). You should check the Notice frequently for changes by checking the date of "Last Update" at the top of this document.

INFORMATION COLLECTED

All personal information provided to Neighbourhood Alert is protected and used in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Act, and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

The Neighbourhood Alert website does not automatically gather any personal information from you when you visit it. Information is obtained only from what you supply voluntarily through email or by submitting through a contact form on the site. When you register for membership, update your registered information or request a Missing Person or Pet Alert, Neighbourhood Alert may collect the following information ("Information"):

  1. Contact information such as name, company name, address (Postal Code, City Province), phone number and e-mail.
  2. Neighbourhood Alert may retain other information provided, such as the contents of e-mails sent or submitted to Neighbourhood Alert through this Site.

The Information provided is used to provide you the products and services made available on this Site, including to fill your requests for products or services, to respond to your communications to Neighbourhood Alert, to communicate with you, to customize your use of this Site, to administer this Site, to diagnose technical problems with this Site, to develop new products and services and to market products and services.

Neighbourhood Alert employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. This software receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted our website, the date and time of the visit and the pages visited. We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site unless an attempt to damage the site has been detected.

SHARING OF INFORMATION

Neighbourhood Alert may release the Information when Neighbourhood Alert believes release is appropriate to comply with law, to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of use of this Site and other agreements and to protect the rights, property or safety of Neighbourhood Alert and others who use this Site. Neighbourhood Alert will not sell, rent, share or otherwise disclose the Information for commercial purposes other than its own.

If the Information is to be disclosed other than as set out above, Neighbourhood Alert shall notify you to give you the opportunity to choose not to have the Information so disclosed.

CONSENT
